Seeking an opportunity post foundation training to broaden your experience in Obstetrics & Gynaecology? Head Medical is seeking post foundation doctors for positions based at Whangārei Hospital. Gain exposure to a varied O&G caseload, theatre opportunities, antenatal and gynaecology clinics, alongside a structured teaching programme including didactic sessions, journal clubs, interactive learning and video-conferenced education. Experience acute and elective care, attend antenatal and gynaecology clinics, and assist in theatre Lifestyle: Sub-tropical Northland, 2 hours from Auckland, gateway to the Bay of Islands, world-class diving, sailing, beaches, and outdoor adventures Salary: $106,672 – $133,842 NZD (depending on experience) 12 month contract The Role Whangārei Hospital is a 246-bed regional facility providing secondary care services to ~194,000 people, including large rural catchments This position offers excellent exposure to both Obstetrics and Gynaecology across inpatient, outpatient and procedural settings. Working closely with Consultants and Registrars, you will gain experience in acute and elective care, attend antenatal and gynaecology clinics, and assist in theatre, providing a strong foundation for those considering a career in O&G. You will join a supportive team on a 1-in-7 roster, including long days, nights, and weekends, with access to a structured teaching programme incorporating formal education sessions, case-based learning and journal clubs.
