About The Role As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-impact engineering solutions while helping shape best-practice systems and lifting capability across the team. This is a hands-on technical leadership role where precision matters, ideas are valued, and your work contributes directly to pioneering solutions in clean energy. Key Responsibilities Lead the design and delivery of mechanical engineering solutions from concept through to manufacture Perform engineering calculations and ensure designs meet relevant standards and codes Develop detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings (SolidWorks) Provide technical leadership and troubleshooting on complex engineering challenges Mentor and support junior engineers to build team capability Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to deliver project outcomes Drive continuous improvement across engineering processes, systems, and ways of working Key Skills & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering (or higher) 8+ years’ relevant engineering experience, with hands-on exposure to manufacturing environments Strong proficiency in CAD (preferably SolidWorks), including 3D modelling, assemblies, and drawings Deep understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes Proven ability to solve complex technical problems and deliver practical, well-considered solutions Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams Nice to Have Experience in process industries (e.g. oil & gas, dairy, energy) Familiarity with pressure systems or cryogenic applications Knowledge of international standards (e.g. ASME BPVC, ASME B31.3, AS1210) Working towards or holding CPEng status Experience working in multidisciplinary project environments Why Fabrum?
