\n Employment type: Permanent, full-time
\n Days of work: Monday to Friday, with weekend work required
\n Hours per week: A guaranteed minimum of 30 hours, up to 40 hours per week.
\n Pay: $30.00 – $32.00 per hour, depending on experience and skill level. Paid weekly.

About the role

\n

SS Lining Limited is an accredited employer with an established residential and commercial fit-out business. We are seeking two experienced carpenters to join our team for an immediate start. This is physically demanding work across Auckland sites, and we are looking for reliable, capable tradespeople who take pride in their finish.
\n

\n

Tasks include:

\n
    \n
  • Timber and steel framing to plan
  • \n
  • Installing and fixing plasterboard / GIB linings, finished to standard
  • \n
  • Installing doors and windows square and true
  • \n
  • Reading and working from building plans and specifications
  • \n
  • Measuring and cutting accurately, finishing work to a high standard with minimal rework
  • \n
  • Maintaining a tidy, safe worksite and following all site health and safety requirements
  • \n
  • Working both within a team and unsupervised
  • \n
  • Travel between worksites across the Auckland region

Job pre-requisites:

\n
    \n
  • At least 2 years' carpentry experience in framing, door and window installation, and plasterboard installation
  • \n
  • Able to read and work from building plans and specifications
  • \n
  • Able to work to a high finish standard with minimal rework
  • \n
  • Punctual and available for early starts, weekend work, and travel between sites
  • \n
  • Comfortable with physically demanding work — lifting and handling plasterboard sheets, repetitive manual tasks, working at heights on ladders, on your feet all day, and on-site in varying weather conditions
  • \n
  • Able to follow site health and safety procedures, wear PPE, and report hazards.
  • \n
  • Able to work both within a team and unsupervised
  • \n
  • Willingness to undergo a pre-employment drug test
  • \n
  • Willingness to undergo a police background check (vetting)
  • \n
  • Experience in plastering is an advantage but not essential.
    \n
