Your role primarily manages the fees, rent and activity levies private business pays to operate on DOC land. You will also be helping to prepare reports for decision makers, looking at contractual obligations and working closely with the permissions team. You pride yourself on providing prompt and efficient service whilst processing a wide variety of management tasks. With the department managing approximately 5000 different types of concessions ranging from grazing to activities hosted by major tourism operators, this is a busy role, and you will be able to prioritise your workload and thrive in a bustling environment. This is a full time, fixed term, Dunedin-based role to backfill a secondment until 9 December 2026. Skills and experience Ability to follow processes, analyse information and apply legislation/policy Previous contract management experience is highly regarded Experienced in using databases and document controls Strong organisational skills, with attention to detail, to drive various processes to a timely conclusion Proficient at prioritising and managing busy workloads A natural problem-solver who is adaptable and flexible when the unexpected happens Excellent communication and relationship building skills A team player with a can-do attitude who can also work independently Desirable: Knowledge of the department's concessions work would be an advantage Experience or background in finance What’s in it for you?
