Intermediate/Senior Civil Engineer (Stormwater) – Epsom, Auckland Maven Associates is a leading civil engineering and land development consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions across New Zealand. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer with a specific focus on stormwater to join our Auckland team and help lead the delivery of a diverse range of land development and civil infrastructure projects. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of projects from concept through to construction, working closely with clients, councils, and internal teams. While the position covers the full spectrum of civil engineering design if desired, experience in stormwater and flood modelling will be highly valued. Key Responsibilities Lead and deliver civil engineering design for land development and infrastructure projects Undertake and review civil design including stormwater management, hydraulic modelling, and infrastructure layouts Coordinate project delivery with internal teams, clients, and local authorities Prepare technical documentation, reports, and design drawings Conduct site inspections and support construction phase activities Mentor and support junior engineers within the team What We Are Looking For Relevant tertiary qualification (BE, BEngTech, NZDE or equivalent) 3–7+ years’ experience in civil engineering within New Zealand Strong experience with AutoCAD / Civil 3D design software Experience in stormwater design and hydraulic modelling, with HEC-HMS, TUFLOW and/or HEC-RAS experience highly regarded Understanding of construction contracts, particularly NZS 3910 Ability to manage client relationships and communicate technical information clearly Comfortable working independently and undertaking site inspections What We Offer Competitive remuneration aligned with experience and responsibility Support toward CPEng or professional registration The opportunity to take ownership of projects and progress your career A collaborative and supportive team environment Exposure to a wide range of civil engineering disciplines and projects This role is ideal for an ambitious and capable Engineer looking to take the next step in their career within a growing consultancy.
