We are seeking an experienced and motivated Breast Surgeonto join our General Surgery team at Christchurch Hospital.

This is an exciting opportunity to provide specialist breastsurgical services across the Canterbury region, managing both benign andmalignant breast conditions within a well-established multidisciplinaryframework. You will work closely with radiologists, oncologists, pathologists,breast care nurses, and allied health teams to provide comprehensive,high-quality care across the patient journey.

The role includes elective and acute surgicalresponsibilities, participation in multidisciplinary meetings, and contributionto service development, teaching, and quality improvement initiatives. You willbe part of a collaborative surgical department with strong support forinnovation, education, and research.

The General Surgery Department at Christchurch Hospitalprovides a broad range of acute and elective services and is recognised for delivering high-quality specialist surgical care across the South Island.

Our Breast Service is a key component of the wider surgicaland cancer care pathway, offering coordinated multidisciplinary care and accessto modern diagnostic and treatment facilities.

As a Breast Surgeon, you will:

• Hold(or be eligible for) vocational registration with the Medical Council ofNew Zealand in General Surgery

• Havespecialist expertise and a strong clinical interest in breast surgery
\n
• Demonstrateexperience in the management of both benign and malignant breast disease
\n
• Becommitted to multidisciplinary collaboration and patient-centred care

• Havea passion for teaching, service improvement, and maintaining clinicalexcellence
