\nWe're looking for an experiencedSenior Business Analyst to join our Strategic Project Office (SPO). This is an exciting opportunity to partner with stakeholders across the business, lead business analysis activities on a variety of strategic initiatives, and help deliver solutions that improve the way we operate.
\nReporting to the Director-Strategic Project Office, you'll play a key role in delivering internal strategic projects, with a strong focus ontechnology,digitalenablementand business transformation. You'll bridge the gap between business needs and technology, ensuring solutions deliver real value, improve efficiency, and support Tonkin + Taylor's strategic direction.
\nThis is a highly collaborative role where you'll work alongside business leaders, project teams and technology specialists to understand challenges, define opportunities, and deliver practical, future-focused solutions.
\nIn addition, you will:
\n- \n
- Partner with stakeholders across the business to understand strategic objectives, business challenges and opportunities. \n
- Gather, analyse and document business, functional and technical requirements. \n
- Lead process analysis, business process redesign, value stream mapping and continuous improvement initiatives. \n
- Facilitate workshops to build alignment, solve problems and support informed decision-making. \n
- Develop process maps, use cases, requirements documentation, technical specifications and other project artefacts. \n
- Identify opportunities to leverage digital technologies, automation and process improvements. \n
- Support solution evaluation, testing, implementation and business change activities. \n
- Develop test plans and test cases and work with users to ensure solutions meet business needs. \n
- Assist with training material development and end-user training. \n
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, practical information for a wide range of audiences. \n
- Use data and insights to identify trends, measure outcomes and support continuous improvement. \n
- Mentor and support junior Business Analysts in the team \n
This position is full-time and based at our Auckland City office.
\nYou'll bring a combination of strong analytical capability, commercial thinking and excellent relationship-building skills. You're curious, collaborative and enjoy solving complex business problems while keeping people at the centre of change.
\nYou'll ideally have:
\n- \n
- 5+ years' experience as a Senior Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst. \n
- Demonstrated experience delivering business analysis across strategic or digital or technology transformation projects. \n
- Strong business process design, process re-engineering and value stream mapping experience. \n
- Experience with process improvement, Lean methodologies and business automation initiatives. \n
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, facilitation and communication skills. \n
- The ability to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements. \n
- A solid understanding of business systems, technology solutions and system design principles. \n
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail. \n
- A relevant tertiary qualification. \n
- CBAP, Agile Business Analyst, CBA or equivalent certification (desirable). \n
