Role Description This full-time, on-site Business Development Manager role is based in Northland, New Zealand. The position is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, building strong relationships with existing and prospective customers, and promoting Astrolift’s warehouse and industrial equipment solutions. Day-to-day tasks include visiting client sites, understanding customer operational needs, preparing proposals and quotations, following up on leads, and negotiating sales agreements. The role also involves collaborating with internal teams to ensure accurate product information, coordinating delivery timelines, and maintaining a robust sales pipeline through regular reporting and forecasting. The Business Development Manager will represent Astrolift at industry events when required and contribute to strategic sales initiatives to support growth in the region. Qualifications Proven business development or B2B sales experience, ideally within industrial, warehouse, or equipment supply sectors. Strong skills in customer relationship management, including prospecting, account management, and long-term client engagement. Ability to understand technical product features and translate them into practical benefits for customers’ operations. Solid communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to interact confidently with decision-makers at all levels. Competence in using CRM systems, sales reporting tools, and basic office software for planning and documentation. Self-motivated, results-oriented approach with strong time management and organizational capabilities. Comfort working on-site and visiting customer locations, including familiarity with warehouse or industrial environments. Valid New Zealand driver’s license and eligibility to work in New Zealand; relevant tertiary qualification in business or a related field is an advantage. #J-18808-Ljbffr
