As a Kitchen Assistant , you will play an important role in delivering quality catering services at Te Aute College . You'll support food preparation, maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards, and help create a positive dining experience while ensuring all food safety and health & safety requirements are met. This is a Casual position where hours of work are "as and when" required basis upon business needs. Assist with preparing, serving, portioning, and presenting food for daily meal services. Maintain clean and hygienic kitchen and dining areas, including dishwashing and equipment cleaning. Deliver friendly and professional customer service to students, staff, and visitors. Support stock rotation, replenishment, waste handling, and general kitchen operations. Follow food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures at all times. Experience in hospitality, catering, kitchen, or customer service environments is preferred. A reliable, hardworking team player with a positive and flexible attitude. Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions effectively. Physically fit and comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
