Job Description The role We have an exciting opportunity for up to two students to join our Timaru based team over the university holiday period to gain valuable experience and see what life is like at Alpine Energy. You'll join a supportive team that values learning, collaboration and continuous improvement, with plenty of opportunities to develop your skills and gain hands-on experience. What's involved You will work effectively within the Finance team to gain practical finance experience whilst being supported to develop core financial competencies in your time with us. Duties will include but are not limited to; Being able to extract data into meaningful information in the form of dashboards and reports Taking ownership of the project and assignments given to you Providing technical support to the finance team Assisting in preparation of periodic forecasting and yearly budgeting activities Provide input into process improvements What you'll need The successful candidates will ideally have a combination of the following skills and qualifications: Have completed your 1st, 2nd or 3rd year at a tertiary institution Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Word, and Excel. Strong time management and the ability to plan/prioritise Good analytical skills Excellent influencing/communication skills - oral, written and listening Ability to set priorities and meet pre-determined deadlines What we offer At Alpine we focus on creating a place where people genuinely want to come to work.
