Applications Support Specialist – Enterprise Systems (Contractor) National Support Office Ready to use your application support expertise to make a real difference? As our Applications Support Specialist (Enterprise Systems), you'll play a vital role in supporting the critical business applications that keep Southern Cross Healthcare running every day. Taking ownership of a portfolio of enterprise systems across Finance, HR, Payroll, Learning, Procurement, and other corporate functions, you'll ensure these platforms are reliable, high-performing, and continually evolving to meet the needs of our people and the organisation. As the subject matter expert for your application portfolio, you'll provide Level 2–3 support, investigating and resolving complex incidents and service requests while ensuring users receive an exceptional support experience. You'll play an integral role in system releases, upgrades, testing, configuration, and ongoing maintenance, while proactively monitoring integrations, APIs, and enterprise data flows to keep our systems connected, secure, and operating seamlessly. Working collaboratively with business stakeholders, technology teams, and external vendors, you'll help deliver system enhancements, identify opportunities to improve performance and user experience, and drive continuous improvement across our enterprise applications. Whether developing clear documentation, solving technical challenges, or partnering with teams to optimise business processes, you'll have the opportunity to make a genuine impact by delivering smarter, more efficient technology solutions that support healthcare across New Zealand. This will be a fulltime contractor role based onsite in National Support Office in the Auckland CBD. Proven experience supporting enterprise or clinical applications within a healthcare environment, with a strong understanding of how technology enables exceptional patient care. Knowledge of Patient Administration Systems (PAS), Electronic Health Records (EHR/EMR), or other clinical applications, with the ability to quickly understand and support complex systems. Confidence building trusted relationships with clinicians, business stakeholders, and technology teams, coupled with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying issues and delivering practical, customer-focused solutions. Experience working within ITIL service management practices and supporting incident, problem, and change management processes. Exposure to SQL, Oracle, ServiceNow, or similar enterprise technologies, with a willingness to continually learn and expand your technical expertise.
