About The Role We are currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our clinical leadership team as a Unit Coordinator for the Special Care Unit at Keith Park Retirement Village in Hobsonville, Auckland. This role requires working from Tuesday to Saturday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with an on-call component on Friday and Saturday. Provide leadership, coaching, and support to your team, ensuring that our care meets the highest standards. Foster a culture of safety and enjoyment within the workplace for your team. Continuously assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care to meet the needs of each resident. Engage actively with residents' families, visitors, Allied Health Professionals, and District Health Boards to build strong relationships. Assist your nursing team with interRAI assessments. Occasionally offer additional support outside of scheduled hours for events or to assist team members and residents. Dedicate quality time to your team, ensuring flexibility in your roster to connect with all team members. Communicate effectively to promote respect and trust within your team. Be a positive and collaborative team member, contributing to a unified team environment. Provide support to both the Clinical Manager and Village Manager. About You To excel in our supportive and caring environment, you will have: A current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) and interRAI training, or a willingness to gain competency. Extensive experience as a Senior Registered Nurse or Nursing Leader. The ability to lead, share knowledge, and motivate your team effectively. A compassionate and kind approach, driven to deliver exceptional care to our residents. The flexibility to share the on-call responsibilities with fellow Unit Coordinators as per a roster managed by the Village Manager.
