Galley Hand - Overnight Cruise (Doubtful Sound)

RealNZ is looking for someone to join our overnight cruise in Doubtful Sound as a Galley Hand. As a Galley Hand you'll support our kitchen and hospitality team to deliver a high-quality onboard experience. You'll assist with food preparation and presentation, maintain exceptional hygiene and cleanliness in the galley, and ensure meals are served smoothly. You'll also help serve food and beverages to guests, manage stock levels, and keep the galley running efficiently. From scrubbing pots to plating up delicious meals, you'll be an essential part of creating memorable journeys for our guests. You'll also play a hand-on part in the wider onboard experience, helping host guests and supporting water-based activities like kayaking. We're after someone with energy, a great attitude, and the ability to follow direction and work quickly and efficiently. You'll need to be physically fit for tasks like lifting heavy pots and supplies, and ready to pitch in wherever needed. The roster offers a unique lifestyle balance: 7.5 days on, 6.5 days off - that's every second week to yourself. With meals and accommodation provided while on board, it's also a fantastic opportunity to save. This role requires a full-season commitment from September 2026 to April 2027, and due to visa and operational requirements, we're only able to consider applicants who can commit for the entire season. This is a safety-sensitive role and is subject to RealNZ's drug and alcohol testing processes.
