Mō te tūranga | About the role Join our Core Tribe / Digital and Engineering Practice as a Technical Consultant - SRE and help build our E2E integrated testing environment . This is a 20% (hands on) and 80% (Stakeholder engagement, Design, technical leadership, mentoring the Software Specialist and Software Consultant etc.) role. In the engineering hierarchy this is the 5 th level after Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, Software Specialist and Software Consultant. As a Technical Consultant , you will act as both a hands-on architect and a strategic leader, you will guide teams, make key technical decisions, and help define solutions that help us deliver our E2E integrated testing environment. You'll bring significant On Prem and public cloud DevOps engineering, solution design experience, and solid IT infrastructure experience.You will have to be comfortable withdesigning, configuringand maintainingOn Prem and cloud platformtechnologies.Automating implementation, configuration, and deployment processes is also part of the role. We advocate for T-Shaped teams, where you will engage in all facets of engineering throughout your day. We are seeking a Technical Consultant with a diverse mix of technical skills to support the following activities: Meet with stakeholders to discuss the technical requirements. Design and Implement Cloud environments - Azure solution design and implementation. Working with relevant service/application squads to host the service/application. Ensuring integration between services and applications is established. Working with relevant service/application squads to design creation of Test data (also ensuring where possible that Prod data isn't used). Automate and support infrastructure deployments in Azure and On-prem with infrastructure-as-code solutions. Automate security remediation and detection processes, develop documentation - SOP & Knowledge base, dashboards and reporting. Monitoring, alerting and reporting of the environment. Work collaboratively and comfortably taking ownership of work/issues that deliver to user/business outcomes. You're a proactive problem solver with strong technical leadership and communication skills. You're confident gathering requirements, designing pragmatic solutions, and presenting technical concepts to diverse audiences. SRE experience and relevant expertise of over 10 to 15 years. What you bring To thrive in this role, you’ll bring ASB application knowledge (desirable). Experience with private cloud architecture, infrastructure and management. Experience in relational (preferred) and non-relational database (desirable). Experience in creating and maintaining GHES/Azure/Octopus CICD pipelines and GIT/TFS source control. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (one or all the following: Terraform; BICEP), CI/CD pipelines (especially ADO), version control systems (Git). Experience creating Kibana dashboards and alerts for exception and health monitoring. Prior experience with automation process and orchestration tools. Build, Release and management of the configuration of QA environment. Experience working within Agile and DevOps frameworks and hasa goodunderstanding of cloud adoptionframework. Ongoing management of E2E integrated testing environment. Bring knowledge of new tools, processes and best practices into the squad. Enterprise networking and Security knowledge. Excellent written and verbal communication skills (can balance the level of technical detail for the right audience, and can clearly articulate problem statements).
