About the Role The newgraduate midwifery programmes at Capital and Coast, and Hutt Valley aretailored to provide a professionally and clinically comprehensive experience.You will work 8-hour shifts on a rostered and rotating basis, with a workloadequivalent to 0.8 full-time employment over 54 weeks in your programme basedeither at Capital and Coast or Hutt Valley. This arrangement allows you tostrike a balance between your clinical responsibilities, commitments to the Midwifery First Year of Practice (MFYP), and personal life. Once the programmeis completed you will transfer onto the permanent midwife roster. About the Team/Service/Location We have supportive teams who nurture our newgraduates and each other. Our senior teams include the Director of Midwifery,Associate Directors of Midwifery and Midwife Managers. Our obstetric teams arerespectful and collaborative. We all work alongside our LMC colleagues andendeavour to provide the best care for whānau. About You We are looking for newgraduate midwives who want to consolidate their knowledge and skills in ourbusy maternity units. The ideal candidates should be keen to embrace newchallenges, apply their skills and knowledge into the clinical setting, have asolid work ethic, and are respectful to whānau and colleagues.
