About the role As a BAS Accountant, you'll work alongside a wide range of clients, helping them make informed business decisions and achieve their growth ambitions. From financial reporting and tax compliance to management accounting and advisory work, you'll gain exposure to varied and meaningful client engagements. Our Business Advisory team provides personalised services to clients based on their unique needs and supports them through the challenges they face at every stage of their business life cycle. To excel in you will need to not only understand financial concepts, but also be a great communicator, be able to work with and without guidance and as part of our team. Key Responsibilities Apply accounting standards, prepare financial statements, and manage reporting functions Prepare management reports, budgets, and cash flows for client Stay updated on tax laws, prepare accurate tax returns, and identify tax planning opportunities Identify business issues, create growth plans, and advise on financial matters Understand filing requirements, identify trust opportunities, and implement accounting packages. Experience We are looking for someone who is experienced, has strong commercial acumen and looking for career growth with: 3-4 years' BAS experience, ideally with a similar client base Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance CA or ACCA qualified A high level of interpersonal skills Confident, commercially savvy, innovative, detail-oriented Thrive under pressure Your Future at BDO Auckland When you join us, we'll make your growth our priority.
