We have an exciting opportunity for an Intern - Operation Management & Facility Services to join our Water New Zealand business for a 12-week summer internship program (November 2026 to February 2027) based in Napier . The Opportunity As part of Jacobs' Water team, you'll work alongside industry-leading professionals who support water utilities and infrastructure owners to improve the performance, reliability, and sustainability of essential assets and services. During your internship, you'll gain exposure to a variety of operational and asset management activities, including Asset management and planning Water and wastewater operational performance improvement Maintenance and reliability planning Facilities management and operational support Infrastructure inspections and performance monitoring Working collaboratively with client and Jacobs teams to solve real-world challenges This is a fantastic opportunity to gain practical industry experience while contributing to meaningful projects that help deliver safe and sustainable water services to local communities. Here's what you'll need Currently studying a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Diploma of Engineering or a related engineering discipline in New Zealand Returning to Napier over the summer break and available to work full-time throughout the internship period Passionate about water, infrastructure, sustainability, and operational excellence Strong communicators who enjoy working in a team environment Curious, proactive, and eager to learn from experienced professionals Our Summer Internship Program As an Intern at Jacobs, you’ll be a valued member of our team from Day 1 and work on real projects, bids and tenders from the get‑go.
