Heavy Diesel Mechanic - Supervisor Are you an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic looking to step into a senior role with variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to mentor the next generation? Join our team and work across a diverse fleet of industry-leading machinery used in port operations and the forestry sector. About the Role In this senior position, you’ll take ownership of diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance across a broad range of heavy diesel equipment. You’ll be working with some of themost reputable machinery in the industry, including: Mafi / ITV Wharf Trucks & Trailers You’ll get exposure to both workshop and some field service work, ensuring machinery remains safe, reliable, and operational with minimal downtime. Key Responsibilities Diagnose, service, and repair heavy diesel engines and hydraulic systems Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections Provide day-to-day guidance to our apprentice mechanic Work collaboratively with operations teams to prioritise urgent tasks Available to participate in an on-call roster About You You’ll bring solid mechanical expertise, strong problem-solving ability, and a commitment to high-quality work.
