\n Hourly rate: $25-$35

\n Duties:--

\n
• The employee should provide high-quality hairdressing/barber services to clients
\n
• providing clients with advice on hair care, beauty products and hairstyles
\n
• shampooing hair and conditioning scalps, colouring, straightening and permanently waving hair with chemical solutions
\n
• cutting hair with scissors, clippers and razors, styling hair into dreadlocks and braids, and
  \n adding hair extensions
\n
• shaving and trimming beards and moustaches
\n
• Develop positive client relationships and aim to exceed expectations
\n
• Assist with the full range of tasks in the salon as needed, including making appointments,
  \n taking client payment, displaying retail product, cleaning, stocktaking and other related duties
\n
• Proactively promote the salon and attract new clients
\n
• Provide comprehensive training and orientation to new recruits when possible.
  \n Explaining how the salon works and what is required
\n
• Provide up-skilling for junior stylists and/or supervise work experience candidates when
  \n possible
\n
• Work with other management to resolve any client complaints or any issues
  \n conflicts with other staff
\n
• Comply with all health and safety policies of the employer.
\n
• Recommend retail sales to all clients
\n
• Keep used retail units clean and presentable, with the lid on
\n
• Suggest extra service to all clients when applicable
\n
• Suggest retail sales to all clients when applicable. Encourage all Clints to rebook
\n
• Assist in planning and designing monthly marketing promotions
\n
• Undertake other duties as required for the effective operation of the business or as deemed necessary by the employer
\n

Hairdressers/Barbers Requirements:

Proven 2-3 years of experience working as a Barber/Hairdresser OR Level 2-4 relevant qualification.
\n In-depth knowledge of Hairdressing techniques.
\n The ability to concentrate for extended periods of time.
\n Detail-oriented and patient.
\n Excellent hand-eye coordination.
\n Effective communication skills.
