Job Description

Earn $50 to $60/hr line marking across NT infrastructure projects. Vehicle and accommodation included. Permanent, full-time work in Alice SpringWhy Apply
\n
\nStill earning NZ rates doing the same road marking runs week after week? This is a chance to get paid properly for your skills, with your accommodation and vehicle sorted on arrival.\n
\n
    \n
  • Earn $50 to $60/hr plus super on a permanent full-time basis. No casual uncertainty, no labour hire. Just steady money.
  • \n
  • Accommodation and a work vehicle are both provided. Your costs on arrival are minimal and more of your pay stays with you.
  • \n
  • Work across road markings, car parks, pedestrian crossings, symbols, legends, and traffic guidance markings on real NT infrastructure projects.
  • \n
  • Specialised trade with strong long-term demand across Australia. The skills you build here travel well and open doors across the country.
  • \n
  • Structured roster of around 11 to 14 days on followed by 3 to 4 days off. You know when you are working and when you are not.
  • \n
The Role
\n
\nYou will be applying and maintaining pavement markings across a range of sites in and around Alice Springs. The work is hands-on, detail-focused, and carried out in live traffic and construction environments.\n
\n
    \n
  • Applying road markings, symbols, legends, parking bays, arrows, crossings, and traffic control markings
  • \n
  • Preparing surfaces including cleaning, measuring, masking, and layout
  • \n
  • Operating linemarking machines, hand spray equipment, grinders, and blowers
  • \n
  • Removing or covering existing markings where required
  • \n
  • Checking line widths, spacing, dimensions, and layout before and during application
  • \n
  • Conducting daily pre-start checks and basic maintenance on vehicles and equipment
  • \n
  • Following traffic management plans, SWMS, and site safety requirements
  • \n
  • Working closely with supervisors, traffic controllers, and crew members
  • \n
What We Need \n
\n
    \n
  • Hands-on experience with linemarking machines or civil construction in a similar field
  • \n
  • Experience working in live traffic environments
  • \n
  • Current driver licence (non-negotiable)
  • \n
  • Construction White Card
  • \n
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • \n
  • Willingness to relocate to Alice Springs and commit to a variable roster including early starts, nights, and weekends
  • \n
Why This Role
\n
\nThe hourly rate here is well above what most linemarkers are earning in NZ, and with accommodation and a vehicle included you are not spending your wage on setup costs. This is a permanent role with a company that has ongoing NT project work, not a short-term contract. If you want to plant roots in Australia and actually get ahead financially, this is a solid move.\n
