Key Responsibilities:

\n
• Planting all types of plants, including flowers, shrubs and trees
\n
• Maintaining plants by watering, fertilizing and trimming them
\n
• Using and maintaining gardening tools and light gardening machinery
\n
• Identifying and treating diseases, pest infestations and other issues with garden plants
\n
• Cleaning up garden areas
\n
• Providing recommendations for gardens
\n
• Handling edging, mulching and other garden tasks
\n
• Following safety guidelines for applying chemicals and using equipment
\n
• Maintain and grow the garden to ensure it meets specific requirements and expectations.
\n
• Perform basic maintenance such as cutting the grass, emptying bins, managing weed control and leaf raking.
\n
• Work with hand tools such as plant vehicles, and small diggers.
\n
• Service all garden equipment and machinery.
\n
• Maintain a clean garden by clearing rubbish and litter from the garden and grounds.
\n
• Provide guidance to management on matters related to the garden.
\n
• Advise management on the costs of plants and garden necessities with detailed written quotations and reports.
\n
• Ensure a safe environment for staff and clients by adhering to safety and health regulations.
\n

Requirements:

\n
• Diploma in Horticuture or equivalent or one year of experience in a similar role.
\n
• Thorough understanding of horticulture best practices.
\n
• Ability to handle a range of horticultural machinery and powered hand tools.
\n
• In-depth knowledge of plants and gardening techniques.
\n
• Friendly personality with excellent interpersonal skills.
\n
• Solid understanding of health and safety rules and legislation.
\n

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Excellent problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently or as part of a small team effectively. Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and reliability.

A permanent position of with a minimum of $26 to $30 per hours depending on work experience and qualification.
\n A minimum of 30 hour per weeks and may require to work on weekend sometimes
\n Must have evidence of legal work right in NZ
