Job Description

A Store Manager is responsible for providing excellent customer service experience and manage the store. Maintaining attractive product displays, and ensuring products are properly stocked and stored. The role involves handling customer concerns professionally, maintaining safety and hygiene standards, and supporting the smooth daily operation of the store.

Responsibilities
\n • Overall management of the store and able to work independently
\n • Ensure the overall business meets profit targets and operates smoothly
\n • Introduce new products which are on demand and get rid of old stock, review and determine products in stock regularly
\n • Ensure that the service standards are on the highest level and constantly improve them
\n • Promote and advertise the store’s goods and services
\n • Maintain security controls cash, keys, alarms and stock
\n • Set prices for goods, ensuring highest profit
\n • Develop and maintain a professional and cooperative relationship with suppliers
\n • Manage stock levels, stock control and records, including implementing stock control systems, stock tracking, purchasing, stock discounting and clearance
\n • Buying, controlling and analyzing the stock level of business
\n • Determining product mix and store service standards
\n • Keeping track of income and expenses and hold good understanding of accounting as per the business requirements
\n • Undertake budgeting, cash reconciliation, petty cash and banking
\n • Maintain records and documentation for the business
\n • Develop purchasing and marketing policies
\n • Advertising, pricing and promotion of products to maintain sales of business
\n • Formulating and implementing purchasing and marketing policies
\n • Sell goods to customers, advise on and recommend products and add on products
\n • Follow up on customer complaints/comments and resolve
\n • Develop customer service standards to improve customer relations
\n • Recruit, select, orient, train and supervise other staff according to business needs
\n • Ensure the business has a sufficient level of staffing and staff rosters are prepared
\n • Ensure staff compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
\n • Efficient cleaning and maintenance duties are performed.

Requirements
\n • Hold a diploma qualification or 2 to 3 year of supervisory work experience
\n • Relevant bachelor’s degree holders is an advantage
\n • It is advantage to have relevant work experience
\n • Able to perform the tasks independently
\n • Position will require weekend, public holidays and some split shift working ability
\n • Hold good communication skills
\n • Hold drivers licence

\n

Location – Wellington region
\n Hourly wage rate - $30 to $35 based on discussions
\n Full Time - 30 hours week is guaranteed or upto 45 hours as required by the business
