Our Auckland Business Advisory Services (BAS) team is looking for a Manager who combines strong technical capability with a genuine passion for developing people and building trusted client relationships. The role

As a BAS Manager, you'll take ownership of a portfolio of clients, leading the delivery of high-quality accounting, tax and advisory services while supporting the development of junior team members. You'll work closely with Directors and Associate Directors, providing technical guidance, managing workflow, and helping clients navigate opportunities and challenges with confidence.

You'll be involved in:

  • Managing a portfolio of clients and building trusted relationships through responsive, high-quality service.

  • Reviewing accounting, tax and advisory work, ensuring technical excellence and practical client outcomes.

  • Leading workflow across engagements while coaching and developing junior team members.

  • Identifying risks, opportunities and value-add solutions that help clients achieve their business goals.

  • Contributing to the growth of the practice through strong client relationships and collaboration across the firm.

About you

You'll likely bring:

  • A Bachelor of Commerce (or equivalent), majoring in Accounting

  • 4+ years' experience in a Chartered Accounting firm

  • CA or CPA qualification

  • Strong technical accounting and tax knowledge

  • Experience managing client relationships and reviewing complex work

  • A collaborative leadership style and a passion for developing others

  • Excellent communication skills and commercial acumen

  • Experience with Xero and cloud-based accounting systems
