Job Description
Work closely with senior leadership to deliver strategic objectives including Payments Modernisation.
\nPermanent, Wellington based role. 5 weeks annual leave plus 15 wellness days.
Te tūranga – The role\nLead the Reserve Bank’s policy and research on money, payments, digital money, and the cash system. You will provide strategic advice, lead complex policy initiatives, and engage key stakeholders to support the Bank’s stewardship of the cash system and broader monetary policy objectives. As a senior leader, you will also build team capability, foster collaboration, and contribute to the directorate’s leadership and strategic success.

- An experienced policy leader with ability to provide clear, evidence-based advice on complex and emerging issues. \n
- Strong understanding of money, payments, cash systems, public policy, or related fields. \n
- A proven people leader who builds capability, fosters collaboration and inclusion, and delivers results through others. \n
- Skilled at influencing, building trusted relationships, and communicating complex issues clearly. \n
- A strong strategic thinker with sound judgement and ability to assess issues from an enterprise and industry-wide perspective. \n

\nThe anticipated appointment range for this role is $208,529 to $243,284 (actual salary will be dependent on your skills and experience).
