This is Us The Customer, Products & Services (CP&S) team is leading BNZ's customer and lending transformation through strategic platforms including Salesforce Financial Services Cloud and nCino. As a Functional Consultant, you'll work across business and technology teams to shape platform solutions, drive better business outcomes, and help build BNZ's internal platform capability.

We sat down with the People Leader and they told us the following about the role: This is a full time, permanent opportunity based in Auckland. It is a hybrid role with three days in the office and two days where you can work flexibly.

What are 5 day to day tasks the person in this role will complete?\n

• Capture and translate business outcomes into scalable platform solutions.
\n
• Guide stakeholders and delivery teams on Salesforce and nCino capabilities and best practices.
\n
• Facilitate workshops and solution design discussions.
\n
• Support delivery, testing, change management and go live activities.
\n
• Mentor colleagues and promote platform standards and reuse.
\n

What projects / work will the candidate be working on now and into the next year?\n

You'll support BNZ's strategic customer and lending transformation initiatives, helping maximise value from Salesforce FSC and nCino while shaping future platform capabilities, business processes, and customer experiences.

What is the most exciting thing about this opportunity?\n

You’ll help influence how one of New Zealand's largest banking transformations uses strategic SaaS platforms, working across product, business, architecture, and delivery teams to create lasting impact.

What will success look like for the candidate in this role?\n

Success will be measured by delivering high-quality platform solutions, increasing use of native platform capability, reducing unnecessary complexity, and helping build stronger platform expertise across BNZ.

What technical skills / skills are REQUIRED for this role?\n

• Functional consulting, platform consulting, BA, or solution delivery experience.
\n
• Experience with Salesforce, nCino, or similar SaaS platforms.
\n
• Strong business process analysis and solution design skills.
\n
• Workshop facilitation and stakeholder engagement experience.
\n
• Excellent analytical, communication, and influencing capabilities.
\n
• Understanding of data and integration principles and practices.
\n
