About the Role
As Payroll Manager, you will lead the payroll function, ensuring accurate and timely payroll delivery while identifying opportunities to improve processes, systems, compliance, and service levels.
This role is ideal for a leader who enjoys managing people, driving continuous improvement, and leading projects that deliver meaningful operational and service improvements across the organisation.

You are an experienced payroll leader with a passion for developing people, improving processes, and delivering exceptional service.

You'll bring:
Significant payroll management experience in a complex environment.
Proven people leadership experience, including coaching, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams.
A strong track record of driving continuous improvement and leading change initiatives.
Experience reviewing and enhancing payroll processes, controls, and systems.
Strong project management experience, with the ability to lead and deliver payroll-related projects, system upgrades, and business improvement initiatives.
Experience managing multiple priorities and stakeholders while delivering successful outcomes.
Strong knowledge of New Zealand payroll legislation, including Holidays Act requirements.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
A proactive, customer-focused approach.
Experience with Datapay payroll software would be highly advantageous.
