About the Role Permanent This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to work in an innovative and purpose-built environment focused on improving access to elective surgical services for the communities we serve. You will join a dedicated team delivering high-quality care within the Elective Surgery Centre (ESC). In this role, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing elective procedures, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centred care. With a strong focus on surgical nursing, particularly Orthopaedics, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a model of care that values innovation, continuous improvement, and excellent patient outcomes. About the Team/Service/ Location Designed around a specific model of patient care, the ESC addresses the increasing demand for elective surgery within a growing and ageing population. Waitematā district is one of the fastest-growing regions in New Zealand, and the ESC plays a key role in ensuring residents have increased access to high-quality elective surgical services. About you To be considered we will need the following: Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a current Annual Practising Certificate. At least 2 years experience in a surgical ward environment within either a public or private healthcare setting. Demonstrated experience in Orthopaedic nursing. A flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to thrive in an innovative model of care.
