What can I expect from the programme? Our Graduate programme will give you an experience like no other working within our dynamic Digital team. You'll join Westpac at an exciting time as we reimagine banking through digital innovation, data, emerging technologies and customer-centred design. We are offering a permanent graduate position on a tailored programme which has been designed accelerate your growth, broaden your experience with future leaders in mind. Our current programme is based in Auckland and will run for approximately 10-12 months. You'll start with us as a permanent employee in February 2027 on an immersive orientation which will help grow your understanding of Westpac NZ along with the wider grad cohort. Throughout the programme, you'll develop a broad understanding of how Digital works across product, customer experience, data, technology and delivery. You'll build valuable relationships across the organisation while gaining exposure to leaders, teams and initiatives shaping the future of Westpac. At the end of your programme, you'll be supported to find a suitable role that matches your capabilities and interests within your business area. Digital Champions, leaders and mentors will support you during the programme experience. This programme is structured to help you identify your focus areas whilst tailored training sessions build and strengthen your technical and soft skills - accelerating your personal and professional career development. Every day, hundreds of thousands of New Zealanders use Westpac's digital channels to manage their financial lives. You'll contribute to meaningful work that helps improve those experiences. You will work alongside Product Managers, Digital Channel Specialists, Customer Experience professionals, Analysts, Designers and Technology teams responsible for building and delivering digital solutions. Depending on where your strengths and interests lie, you may support the design, testing and delivery of new products, features and customer experiences across mobile and online banking channels. You will have opportunities to use customer insights and data to identify opportunities, solve problems and improve outcomes for customers. As Digital, Technology and Transformation work closely together, you'll gain exposure to a range of functions and learn how large-scale digital initiatives are delivered. You will have opportunities to explore emerging technologies including AI, automation and open banking, and understand how they can create better banking experiences. Ōu Pūkenga | About You To be eligible, you must be in your final year of study or have completed an undergraduate or postgraduate degree within the past 12 months. Our Graduate opportunities are entry level roles giving those on the programme broad exposure across the relevant business unit. Additionally, applicants must be New Zealand or Australian citizens or permanent residents. You might come from a background in: Business or Commerce Information Systems Computer Science or Technology Data & Analytics Engineering Design or Customer Experience Or another discipline where you've demonstrated problem-solving, innovation and curiosity We are looking to fill our program with original thinkers, innovators, and team players who are highly collaborative.
