Job Description
Our People & Capability Group (PūmanawaTangata) is transforming how we support our people through new systems, smarter ways of working, and a renewed focus on delivering great experiences for our leaders, teams, andkaimahi. We're replacing our HR and Payroll systems(TeHuringaProject), and we're looking for a Data Migration Specialiston a fixed-term basistotake ownership ofone of the most critical parts of the programme,ensuring the accurate, secure, and seamless migration of employee and payroll data into our new platform. This is your opportunity to help deliver one of Council's most significant people and technology transformation programmes, improving how we support our leaders, teams, andkaimahi. You'llown the end-to-end data migration journey, from understanding complex legacy data through to successful cutover and go-live. Working alongside HR, Payroll, Digital & Technology,vendorsand project specialists,you'll: Help lead the planning and delivery of data migration activities. Extract, analyse,cleanseand transform HR and payroll data. Design mapping,validationand reconciliation processes. Coordinate migration testing, mockconversionsand cutover activities. Resolve data quality issues and ensure migration accuracy. Providetrusted advice to project team and stakeholders throughout the programme. Kowaikoe| About you You'llcombine strong technical capability with an eye for detail and the ability to work confidently with a wide range of stakeholders. You'llbring: Experience delivering data migration for large HR and Payroll system implementations. Strong SQL and data analysis skills. Experience with data mapping, cleansing,transformationand reconciliation. An understanding of payroll, employee lifecycledataand New Zealand payroll compliance. The ability to simplify complex data challenges and build confidence with both technical and business audiences. This is a fixed-term position through to 24 August 2027.
