Role Impact As highly talented Senior Designer, you'll play a key role in bringing ZURU's Pet brands to life across digital, print, motion, activations and in-store touchpoints. You'll take ownership of design projects from concept through to completion, ensuring every output is high-quality, on-brand, and delivered on time — while mentoring intermediate and junior designers and contributing fresh creative thinking to the wider team. Roles & Responsibilities Design & Content Creation Design Development: Create and develop innovative design solutions that align with project goals and brand guidelines across digital assets, print collateral and brand campaigns Briefs: Craft comprehensive creative briefs for both in-house and external creative teams Prototypes + Mock Ups: Produce prototypes, mockups, and wireframes to visualise design concepts and facilitate stakeholder feedback Project Management: Manage design projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes Quality Assurance: Ensure all designs meet technical specifications and are consistent with brand guidelines Handle colour correction, grading, retouching for images and videos and audio with videos where required Packaging: Minor updates to existing packaging artwork Other tasks management may deem appropriate from time to time Collaboration & Leadership Team Coordination: Work closely with the Design Director and Design Project Manager to ensure smooth workflows and high-quality output Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with the Design Director, marketers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver effective design solutions Leadership Development: Provide guidance and mentorship to intermediate and junior designers, helping them grow and improve their skills Project Leadership: Take the lead on design projects when needed, ensuring successful execution from concept to completion Conceptualisation and Innovation: Bring fresh and innovative ideas to the table. Lead and actively participate in creative brainstorming sessions, proposing creative solutions that align with project goals and market trends Skill Development & Innovation Creative Opportunities: Identify and suggest creative opportunities within the Pet Vertical Stay Updated: Keep up-to-date with innovative design trends and techniques Industry Trends: Monitor key competitor trends and industry standards Pursue learning opportunities to improve technical skills in Adobe Creative Suite (or areas identified by you and/or your manager) Skills & Experience 5–8+ years industry experience in a similar role A relevant qualification in Graphic Design from a tertiary level institute or similar Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly in After Effects, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Figma Illustration skills are an added advantage Experience in Adobe Premiere Pro and 3D design such as Cinema 4D are an added advantage Design: Excellent visual design skills with a keen eye for detail, typography, colour, and layout Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and decisions Problem-Solving: Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to self-manage Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
