We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician to join a highly respected machinery business based in Hastings. This position offers a varied mix of workshop-based repairs and field service work, supporting customers across a range of specialised machinery and equipment. You will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing advanced hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and electronically controlled systems. The role requires a high level of technical expertise, strong fault-finding ability, and a commitment to delivering quality workmanship. Key Responsibilities Carrying out mechanical servicing and preventative maintenance Diagnosing and repairing hydraulic, electrical, electronic, and engine faults Providing workshop and field service support Reading and interpreting technical manuals and schematics Maintaining machinery to a high professional standard Delivering exceptional customer service Assisting with light engineering and fabrication work as required What We’re Looking For Proven mechanical service and maintenance experience Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills Experience working with hydraulic and electrical systems Ability to understand technical manuals, hydraulic diagrams, and schematics Trade qualification in heavy diesel, mobile plant, mechanical engineering, or similar (preferred) Reliable, self-motivated, and professional Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and within a team environment What’s On Offer Competitive hourly rate Permanent full-time employment Modern workshop environment Diverse and technically challenging machinery Ongoing product training and development Supportive team culture Long-term career stability and growth opportunities If you're a skilled technician who enjoys solving complex mechanical problems and wants to work with specialised machinery in both workshop and field environments, we'd love to hear from you.
