This is more than an HR advisory role - you will be a trusted strategic partner to senior leaders, influencing organisational direction, leading through change, and delivering pragmatic people solutions that enable outstanding teaching, research and professional services. What you'll be doing Working across a diverse portfolio, you'll: Partner with all levels of the organisation to translate strategy into people outcomes. Lead complex employment relations, organisational change and workforce initiatives. Coach and influence leaders to build high-performing, engaged teams. Use workforce insights and data to inform decision making. Collaborate with People & Culture technical specialists to deliver initiatives that strengthen capability, culture and organisational effectiveness. You're an experienced HR professional who understands that modern Human Resources is about far more than policy and process. You bring commercial acumen, strategic insight and a contemporary people lens, partnering with leaders to solve complex organisational challenges, build capability and deliver meaningful business outcomes. To be successful in this role, you'll have A tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management (or a closely related discipline). A minimum of five years' experience in an HR Business Partnering or Senior HR Advisory role within a large, complex organisation. Demonstrated experience partnering with senior leaders to translate organisational strategy into practical, people-centred solutions. Expertise across contemporary HR practice, including organisational design, workforce planning, change management, employee relations, leadership coaching and culture development. The ability to leverage workforce data, digital technologies and evidence-based practice to influence decision-making and improve organisational performance. Exceptional relationship-building, coaching and influencing skills, with the confidence to constructively challenge and guide senior stakeholders. Sound knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation and a commitment to delivering pragmatic, commercially balanced and people-focused outcomes.
