Senior Software Developer

We\'re looking for an experienced Senior Software Developer with strong Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) expertise and a solid understanding of the logistics, warehousing, or supply chain industry. This is an opportunity to work on business-critical warehouse management solutions, integrations, automation initiatives, and operational systems that directly impact real-world outcomes every day. You\'ll join a highly collaborative team and play a key role in designing, developing, and enhancing systems that support some of New Zealand\'s leading brands. This is a full-time, office-based position located at our new Head Office on Waterloo Road, Islington, Christchurch. The role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with hours worked between 7:00am and 5:00pm. Start and finish times can be negotiated within these operating hours. What You\'ll Be Doing Designing and developing robust, scalablesoftware solutions using object-oriented principles. Enhancing and supporting our WarehouseManagement System (WMS) and related applications. Working closely with warehouse operations teamsto understand and solve real business challenges. Designing system integrations between customers,transport providers, and internal platforms. Contributing to system architecture, technicalstandards, and development best practices. Writing clean, maintainable, high-quality code. Troubleshooting complex issues and identifyingopportunities for improvement. Participating in testing, deployment, andproduction support activities. What We\'re Looking For: 5+ years\' experience in software developmentwithin a commercial environment. Experience designing and developing enterpriseapplications. Strong understanding of software architecture,design patterns, and development best practices. Experience integrating systems through APIs, webservices, or middleware platforms. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Highly Desirable Experience within the logistics, warehousing,transport, or supply chain sectors. Experience working with Warehouse ManagementSystems (WMS). Strong object-oriented development experience. Understanding of warehouse operations includingreceiving, inventory control, replenishment, picking, packing, dispatch, andtransport management. Experience working with barcode scanning, RFtechnology, automation, or voice-picking solutions. Exposure to high-volume transactional systems. Personal Attributes Pragmatic and solutions-focused.
