Dynamic and fast paced role in a global supply chain solutions organisation Supportive and collaborative culture where you can have a huge impact Supervise and mentor our team of warehouse operators in the PM shift, Monday - Friday, 2:00pm - 10:30pm The Opportunity: Due to an internal movement, we have the opportunity for a dynamic and proactive Warehouse Supervisor to join our purpose built DC at Wiri - Auckland. The Warehouse Supervisor, is an important role within our Distribution Centre (DC), supervising all areas of the warehouse operations to ensure effective and efficient distribution to our customer restaurants by supporting the supply, storage and distribution of Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG). In this role you will be a people leader with the ability to develop and motivate our warehouse team and continue to drive our People First culture. You will ensure staffing levels are appropriate to support the dispatch schedule and that the distribution requirements of the DC are carried out in a timely and cost-effective manner, with warehouse operations always conducted with safety as a priority. Day to Day you will: Be responsible for providing a safe working environment free of hazards by completing daily site/department inspections and implementing preventative and corrective actions and promoting a positive culture towards safety and wellness Support operations to ensure on time delivery and other service KPIs are achieved with regular reporting to identify issues, gaps or any shortfalls and explore cost effective internal opportunities Coach and mentor the warehouse operations team to develop and maintain an engaged workforce through promoting our CARES values within daily operations Maintain operations and facility compliance within legislative and customer driven requirements Implement employee training and development initiatives and ensure performance concerns are addressed Assist in the preparation monthly financial reports and monitor the performance against budgets and forecasts Ensure staffing levels are appropriate for the volumes and dispatch schedule and monitor and review pick routes for potential efficiencies Encourage and drive a culture of engagement and continuous improvement within the workplace About You: Demonstrated supervisory experience in a similar role ideally in Supply Chain, Logistics Management or Warehouse Management industries Experience within multiple temperature zones within a Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) operational environment would be added advantage Proven ability to connect and motivate a small but diverse team, confidently managing strong personalities and differing viewpoints to maintain a productive and respectful work environment Willingness to take initiative and drive results to ensure business KPIs are met and exceeded whilst upholding the highest levels of safety and customer service Ability to think critically in complex situations, deal with ambiguity and think laterally to problem solve in a dynamic environment Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements including Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and food safety standards i.e. Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and FSSC (Food Safety System Certification) Knowledge and experience of Warehouse Management System (WMS) requirements Intermediate to advanced IT skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite What we Offer: A people first culture with real opportunity to grow your career as we expand our DC network Reward programs and an exclusive employee discount portal Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Quarterly and annual recognition awards Paid parental leave Volunteer leave Free onsite parking About Martin Brower: At Martin Brower we are proud to be a leading global Supply Chain Solutions provider for large scale restaurant chains.
