We are looking for a driven, focused, well organized, high performing sales professional to join our Wellington Sales team to be based out of our Seaview Office. Working across a defined territory within the Wellington Region, the primary responsibility of this position is to gain new business, growing the presence of JJ’s Waste & Recycling. ABOUT THIS ROLE As a JJ’s Sales Representative, you will support the growth of our branch in the Wellington Region. This role sits as a key part of a dynamic, energetic and highly successful team, with sole responsibility for a clearly identified territory. As part of the role you will be accountable for: New business generation, cold calling & follow ups is essential, generating your own Leads Maintaining existing customer relationships and securing long term business partnerships Area sales strategy and execution Ensuring sustainable business growth through service levels, pricing and relationship development Travel across Wellington is essential on a daily basis with you needing to provide your own reliable vehicle, covered by a generous car allowance. We are an essential services industry, offering stability to employees and reliability to our customers. You will be rewarded with a base salary, uncapped commission opportunity and a generous car allowance, along with phone, laptop, and other tools of the trade. Monthly KPI Bonus for those achieving high results. This position is a permanent, full-time Monday to Friday role. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Proactively pursue new business in a structured, focussed & considered mannerthrough cold calling & door knocking with face to face generation of new leads / opportunities & persistent follow ups. Selling a solution that every business requires: Waste & Recycling - helping keep NZ clean. Developing and nurturing existing customers through systematic cycle visits and interactions Ability to prioritise and perform duties in a fast paced and varied role Exceeding sales targets and KPI’s consistently every week Demonstrating a keen passion to drive the business forward and continuing to grow Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the business Identify enhancement opportunities and suggest solutions for improvement Strive for improvement in operations whilst upholding a high level of safety at all times ABOUT YOU Enjoy a challenge Driven and ambitious by nature; you love the thrill of winning new business and nurturing customers Well-presented and have strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills Demonstrate you are outgoing by nature; enjoy meeting people and have a strong focus on customer service Have previous face-to-face, cold call selling experience will be highly regarded Be motivated & love to work autonomously and you enjoy being part of a larger team Have a strong attention to detail; you are thorough and methodical in your approach Have your own roadworthy vehicle and a valid full New Zealand Drivers Licence Be dedicated, resilient and reliable; we are an essential services industry Have well-developed people and relationship skills BENEFITS We celebrate our people by providing a safe and professional workplace so you can enjoy what you do every day.
