Due to continued growth, we're looking for an experienced Automatic Transmission Technician / Rebuilder to join our friendly, family-owned workshop. About the Role This is a hands-on specialist position working on a wide variety of passenger vehicles, 4WDs and light commercial vehicles. Your responsibilities will include: Diagnosing automatic transmission faults using modern diagnostic equipment. Removing and refitting automatic transmissions. Complete disassembly, inspection and rebuilding of automatic transmissions. Torque converter replacement and installation. Valve body diagnosis, repair and upgrades. Transmission servicing and repairs. General automotive diagnostics and mechanical repairs. Road testing and quality control. Preparing repair estimates and documenting repairs. Maintaining high workshop and customer service standards. No two days are the same. This is an excellent opportunity to work on challenging and rewarding specialist repairs rather than routine servicing alone. About You You will ideally have: Experience rebuilding automatic transmissions, or Extensive experience diagnosing and repairing automatic transmission faults. Strong automotive diagnostic and fault-finding skills. Experience removing and refitting engines and/or transmissions. Excellent mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. A recognised automotive trade qualification. The ability to work independently and as part of a team. Pride in producing quality workmanship. A positive attitude and willingness to continue learning.
