CRT (0.6) / Targeted Literacy and Numeracy Intervention (0.4) Primary and intermediate (Years 1-8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher Suitable for beginning teachers We are seeking a versatile, enthusiastic, and reliable classroom release teacher (CRT) to join our team on a fixed-term basis for 3 days per week. In this role, you will provide high-quality teaching coverage across various year levels, ensuring continuity of learning and maintaining a positive classroom environment while our full-time teachers undertake their professional release time. We need you to be flexible and a multi-tasker. We are also open to embracing any strengths you have and are flexible to let you shape the day of learning based on a curriculum strength or interests you may have as long as it benefits and engages our tamariki in their learning. We can also combine this role as a literacy and numeracy intervention teacher for 2 days a week which would make this a fixed-term, full-time position for the remainder of this year. Key responsibilities Deliver engaging lessons: Implement pre-planned lessons effectively or develop adaptive, engaging activities that align with the curriculum and suit a diverse range of age groups. Classroom management: Maintain positive behaviour management strategies consistent with our school values to ensure a safe, focused, and inclusive learning environment. Adaptability: Smoothly transition between different classrooms and year levels (from junior to senior primary), quickly building rapport with students. Qualifications and experience Registration: Must hold a current NZ teaching registration and practicing certificate. Experience: Prior experience teaching in New Zealand primary schools (experience in multi-level or rural classrooms is a distinct advantage) preferred but we may consider a beginning teacher with great references. Skills: Strong communication skills, excellent classroom management, and a flexible, "can-do" attitude. A strength in Health and PE, the arts or science and technology would be great! #J-18808-Ljbffr
