Join Our Team – Summer Roles Available at Mitre 10 MEGA Hamilton - Te Rapa & Ruakura We’re gearing up for our busiest time of year and are looking for enthusiastic, customer-focused team members to join us across a range of departments. What to Expect Fixed shift rosters from start to finish of the fixed term with the option to pick up additional shifts. A supportive team environment with training provided. Opportunities to work in a variety of departments. Our MUST Haves We’re moving quickly so we do need you to be able to attend the listed recruitment night or be available for a quick online interview if you are not based in the Waikato. We do require weekend work and so all rosters include 1 weekend day. As it is our peak time of year – we need all hands-on-deck. This means we do need to ensure you have availability for most days between 15 Dec 2026 – 4 Jan 2027. Recruitment Phases Dependent on vacancies we may be running our recruitment in two phases to match seasonal needs. We’ll go through screening fairly quickly and shortlist applicants, contacting these applicants with a follow-up short questionnaire on more specific questions on availability, start date etc. Then you’ll be invited to a Bulk Recruitment Night where you’ll meet our team, learn more about the roles, and potentially secure a fixed term position. Phase 1 – Early September to Mid-January Recruitment Night: Wednesday 26 August 2026 at our Te Rapa store. Induction: 15 September 2026 (and subsequent dates determined by group start date availability) Roles: Gardens, Fill, CSD, Loss Prevention Ideal for applicants looking for early start and trained roles. Phase 2 (if required) will be for roles from mid-November to mid-January. Recruitment and Induction night: Details will be forwarded to shortlisted candidates who have expressed an interest in a later start. This will be dependent on outstanding vacancies.
