As a Life Coach, you'll work alongside people with intellectual disabilities to identify what matters most to them and support them to develop the skills, experiences, and connections that enable them to live the life they choose. This is a rewarding and varied role where no two days are the same. You'll provide coaching, support community participation, and deliver activities that build confidence, independence, and help people achieve their goals. Working alongside people accessing services, their families and whānau, community partners, and colleagues, you'll create opportunities, remove barriers, and celebrate success. This is more than a support role. It's an opportunity to empower people to lead rich, purposeful lives and participate fully in their communities. Ngą pūmanawatanga ŋwȝ | What you will bring Possesses a minimum NZQA Level 5 qualification, which is essential for the role. Demonstrates a genuine desire and commitment to fostering an inclusive community and actively participates in facilitating its realization. Exhibits excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling clear and effective communication with a diverse range of individuals. Holds a valid New Zealand driver's license, enabling mobility and accessibility in carrying out the responsibilities of the role. Displays a friendly and personable demeanour, genuinely enjoying working alongside individuals.
