Carterton Medical Centre is looking for an enthusiastic Registered Nurse / Practice Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team. As part of our clinical team, you'll provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population. This is a varied role where no two days are the same, working alongside experienced GPs, nurses and administration staff to deliver excellent patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Chronic disease and long-term condition management Immunisations and vaccination programmes Wound care and clinical procedures Triage and patient assessments Health education and preventative care Assisting GPs with minor procedures Care planning and patient recalls Maintaining accurate clinical documentation To ensure success in your role, you will have: Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a current Annual Practising Certificate Experience working in general practice or primary healthcare (preferred) Knowledge and experience in long-term condition management Authorisation to administer immunisations, or a willingness to obtain this qualification Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A positive, patient-focused approach The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Experience in telephone triage is highly desirable and would be an advantage.
