Intermediate/Senior Mechanical Design Engineer We're searching for an Intermediate to Senior Mechanical Design Engineer This is a permanent, full time role. We're keen to have you join us asap. We'd love for you to work with us in person, but we are open to a hybrid working arrangement with weekly days shared between home and our Shredquarters (office). Come build our next products with us! What you'll be doing This is an opportunity to shape products used by families around the world, working with a passionate team that values innovation, collaboration and practical engineering excellence. Here's what you'll be doing: Leading the mechanical design and engineering of exciting new products from concept to production. Developing innovative engineering solutions that balance performance, durability, manufacturability and cost. Creating production-ready CAD models, engineering drawings and technical documentation. Validating designs through engineering analysis (FEA), prototyping and product testing. Working closely with manufacturing partners to optimise products for manufacture and assembly. Driving continuous improvement of engineering processes and contribute to the development of new intellectual property. What you'll bring We're looking for someone who enjoys turning ideas into great products and is excited by the challenge of taking a concept through to a production-ready design. You'll ideally bring: A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent). ~5 years' experience designing manufactured consumer products. Advanced CAD skills (SolidWorks and/or Onshape). Strong understanding of Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA), engineering analysis and product validation. Experience across a variety of manufacturing processes, including injection moulding and metal fabrication. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
