This is a maternity cover position, offering a minimum of 40 hours per week on a 12-month fixed-term contract. A key focus is our people, alongside the other priority areas outlined below. You are required to demonstrate effective leadership and to be recognised by all team members as a leader who is respected and with whom they can work professionally and constructively. This role is a hands-on, staff and guest-facing position, and you are expected to lead by example in all areas of the business. You must create, manage and maintain a working culture in your venue that is consistent with the group's philosophy to exceed customer expectations Provide effective supervision and ongoing development of a diverse team, ensuring the consistent delivery of an exceptional standard of service. Responsible for recruiting, training, and mentoring all restaurant team members to develop their skills and raise their performance levels, creating a positive and well-balanced team. Build excellent relationships with guests and colleagues to enhance delivery and commercial success. Establish and maintain a strong, collaborative relationship with the culinary leadership team and staff. Strictly and consistently adhere to all Liquor Licensing and Health and Safety Regulations and ensure you are aware of and comply with the requirements at all times to minimise risk to yourself, your team, and the business Manage and maintain all systems and procedures to ensure the smooth running of the restaurant. Develop and implement innovative strategies to drive business growth, retain existing guests, and attract new guests . About you: 3 years of management experience in a venue of a similar size, style and standard. This is primarily an evening and weekend role but flexibility within this regard is required. Knowledge in POS, reservation systems and rostering is required as will fall under your role. Strong management skills - including delegation, and prioritization. Great communication and customer service skills. Sound food and beverage knowledge including barista, wine, beer, and spirit service. Hands-on and able to operate successfully in a high-pressure environment. Reliable, honest, mature, and a good role model Be service-oriented. Fun and friendly Hold a current General Managers Certificate You will demonstrate excellent communication skills and above all, a positive 'can do' attitude.You will receive ongoing training for professional development which will be aligned with your skills and experience.
