Te Haeata/The Opportunity The Manager, Process Analysis leads the Business Analysis function within the Te Au Reka Process Design portfolio. Reporting to the Director, Te Au Reka Process Design, this role is responsible for shaping the direction, capability, operating model, and performance of business analysis across the programme, ensuring the function is positioned to deliver high‑quality, sustainable transformation outcomes. You will establish and maintain a mature, consistent, and scalable business analysis practice that supports the delivery of complex organisational change. Providing functional leadership across the business analyst cohort, you will set clear standards, strengthen capability, and ensure effective governance and workforce alignment. Through your leadership, analytical outputs will be timely, consistent, and aligned to programme priorities and strategic objectives. Success in this role requires a leader who can translate strategy into action, foster a high‑performing team culture, and build strong relationships across a diverse stakeholder landscape. You will support and develop your people, proactively manage risks and issues, and bring a flexible, pragmatic approach to achieving outcomes. With a strong understanding of business analysis methodologies and practices, you will know when to lead, influence, collaborate, and delegate to achieve the best results. You will also champion an inclusive and supportive team environment where diversity is valued, different perspectives are welcomed, and people are empowered to contribute their best. Ō pūkenga/Skills and Experience To be successful in this position you will have: CBAP, CCBA, CCA or similar certification. Relevant tertiary qualification Information Technology, Business or related fields. Significant experience as a Senior Business Analyst, including demonstrated people leadership responsibility within complex transformation or digital programmes. Proven experience as an effective and successful people leader. Proven experience leading and developing business analysis teams within large,multi-stream environments. Demonstrated experience establishing, governing and improving business analysis practice frameworks and standards. Experience overseeing workforce planning, capacity alignment and functional performance within structured delivery environments. Strong understanding of Agile, Lean and hybrid delivery methodologies. Sound understanding of public sector governance, accountability and decision making processes. Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence across functional boundaries. Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, politically aware and complex environments. A team player, willing to contribute as necessary to deliver programme and projectoutcomes of a high standard, and to drive the increasing maturity of the Ministry's delivery functions.
