Well Child Registered Nurse

As a Well Child/Tamariki Ora Registered Nurse , you'll provide comprehensive health assessments, developmental screening, education, and ongoing support to children and their whānau from birth to five years of age. Monday to Friday – no shift work Community-based role with variety and autonomy Supportive and collaborative multidisciplinary team Ongoing professional development and postgraduate training opportunities Values-driven organisation committed to equitable health outcomes Your day may include: Conducting Well Child/Tamariki Ora health checks and developmental assessments Monitoring growth, nutrition, hearing, vision and developmental milestones Providing education on infant feeding, nutrition, sleep, behaviour, safety and child development Promoting immunisation and preventative healthcare Supporting parents with practical advice and connecting them to community services Recognising early signs of developmental concerns and coordinating referrals Working collaboratively with Lead Maternity Carers, GPs, allied health professionals and community providers Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and contributing to quality improvement initiatives To be successful you will have: Current New Zealand Registered Nurse APC Registered Comprehensive Nurse or Registered General & Obstetric Nurse qualification Well Child/Tamariki Ora competencies or willingness to complete the required postgraduate training Full New Zealand Driver Licence Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Strong organisational and time management abilities Confidence working autonomously while being part of a supportive team If you enjoy working independently, building meaningful relationships, and providing holistic, family-centred care, we'd love to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr
