Open Call: Bold Community Art Proposals 2027

Auckland Council is inviting proposals from artists, curators, collectives or community groups for their 2027 programme across: Franklin Arts Centre (Pukekohe), Fresh Gallery Ōtara, Māngere Arts Centre – Ngā Tohu o Uenuku, Papakura Art Gallery and Nathan Homestead Pukepuke. We\'re looking for bold, thought-provoking ideas that connect with communityand celebrate creativity across all artforms. This is your chance to exhibit inone of Auckland Council’s leading local arts venues, with curatorial supportand modest funding available to help bring your vision to life. You might be an established painter, graphic designer, digital artist,sculptor, installation artist, photographer, jeweller, sound artist, fashiondesigner, musician, or writer. You might be a student or a practitioner, at anylevel, who has completed works you think are ready to be shared with thepublic. Community groups and organisations are also welcome to send in aproposal. What we\'re looking for: Creative projects that are ready to take place between January and December 2027 Projects exploring places, people, and themes relevant to the community wherethe gallery is located Projects by groups or individuals with well-developed, unique programmes orevents A project idea suitable for one (or more) of the arts facilities listed above.
