We’re looking for a dedicated Senior Accountant to join our high-performing team, working from either our Waipukurau or Hastings office. Waipukurau offers a rural base, while Hastings gives you a bigger town with easy access to the same clients and countrysideWe partner with a wide range of clients, providing personalised advice built on genuine independence and close client contact. Given the region we work in, experience with agribusiness and rural clients is ideal, though not essential. Your role, your contribution Produce financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts and companies Preparation of management reports Prepare cash flow forecasts to help clients plan cash-based transactions and meet their financial commitments Consistently deliver quality accountancy services with efficiency and accuracy, helping clients understand their tax liabilities and due dates well in advance so they can plan ahead Work with a range of leading accounting software systems, helping clients get the most out of their system for their business needs Build genuine relationships with rural and agribusiness clients, understanding the seasonal and financial pressures unique to the land The benefits of joining us A clear pathway to partnership, with ongoing career development, mentoring and training support Work from home one day a week, with the flexibility to be based at either our Waipukurau or Hastings office Easy access to the best of Hawke’s Bay: the Tukituki trail for walking and biking, Pukeora lookout, four local vineyards, golf, trout fishing, gliding and hot air ballooning, and some of Hawke’s Bay’s best beaches Attractive salary package plus health insurance and corporate benefits A supportive, experienced team culture with genuine independence and direct client interaction Full study support, including study leave, fee reimbursement and CA or CPA subscriptions What you bring to the role Proven accounting experience within public practice CA or CPA qualification, or working towards this (desirable) Agriculture or agribusiness client experience is ideal Experience across a broad range of tax, accounting and business matters The ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and clients Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail Our impact: why Findex?
