The position commences Monday 31 August 2026, or later by agreement, and concludes on 14 December 2026. Bluff School is in an exciting period of revitalisation. Working in partnership with Te Pōhā, we are developing a rich, localised curriculum grounded in the Kāi Tahu Education Plan and the unique stories, places and people of Motupōhue. This is an exciting opportunity to join a kura where culturally responsive practice, place-based learning and strong relationships are central to our vision for the future. Beginning teachers will benefit from in-class mentoring and support, with an Advanced Classroom Expertise Teacher (ACET) available as a mentor. We also welcome applicants who require a Limited Authority to Teach while completing their teaching qualification and can offer flexibility around study commitments. We're seeking a teacher who is passionate about giving our youngest ākonga a positive start to school. Experience or training in structured literacy and structured numeracy is desirable. We currently use Numicon as our junior structured numeracy programme.
