About theRole The Clinicalmidwife coordinator position will be providing clinical midwifery leadershipand shift coordination on the after-hours shifts across birth suit and thematernity ward Monday to Sunday. About theTeam/Service/ Location Our team atNelson Maternity Services provides secondary level maternity care by our teamof midwives, nurses and support staff and specialist services. Nelson Maternityservice provides care for approximately 1000 women of the Nelson -Tasmanregion. The maternity service is staffed 24/7 across birthing suite and theantenatal/postnatal wards including a day assessment service and works closelywith the Motueka Primary Maternity unit, the community midwifery team and LeadMaternity Carers to provide maternity services to meet the needs of ourcommunities. NelsonMarlborough Health is the main health provider for Te Tau Ihu, the top of thesouth. About you If you are anexperienced midwife who would like to move to a designated senior midwiferyposition as a clinical midwife coordinator then apply today. The purpose of theposition is to ensure there is a designated senior midwife on shift 24/7 acrossthe secondary maternity service. The majorityof your shifts will be on the PM and night shifts across the weekdays and allshifts over the weekends. Remunerationwill be on the senior midwifery scale of grade 3 steps 2-3 depending onexperience with applicable shift allowances/penalties form PM, nights, weekendsand public holidays. In this role you will be able to applyyour Midwifery skills to make a real difference to people's lives.
