At The Vines at Bethlehem, our café is much more than somewhere to grab a coffee. It's a place where residents catch up with friends, families gather, visitors feel welcome, and our team creates moments that matter every day. We're looking for an experienced Café Manager who is just as passionate about people as they are about great food and drinks to join us for an average of 32 hours per week, Tuesday to Saturday. This is a hands-on leadership role that will help grow the café into a destination enjoyed by both our village community and at some point, the wider community. About the role. You’ll have the opportunity to shape the culture, menu and future of our café while overseeing most aspects of the day-to-day operations. Your days will include: Leading, mentoring and developing a small café team. Preparing and overseeing fresh, quality café food and baking. Creating a welcoming, friendly atmosphere for residents, families and visitors. Managing rosters, stock, purchasing and supplier relationships. Monitoring financial performance, food costs and labour costs. Developing seasonal menus and new offerings. Maintaining high standards of food safety and health & safety. Supporting events, catering and community functions. Identifying opportunities to grow café patronage and revenue. What you’ll bring. We're looking for someone who brings hospitality experience, genuine leadership, and bright ideas to the team. Ideally you'll have: A background as a chef, cook or experienced hospitality professional. Previous experience leading a café, restaurant or hospitality team. A passion for coaching people and creating a positive workplace culture. Confidence managing stock, ordering, budgets and day-to-day operations. Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle priorities. A warm, approachable personality and a genuine commitment to customer service. Pride in delivering consistently high standards of food and presentation. Most importantly, you're someone who enjoys being part of a close-knit team and understands the difference a great café can make to people's day. Why join our team?
