Operations Manager

As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Manager to lead our multi-site operations and help shape the future of our company. This is an exciting opportunity for a proven operational leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys leading people, improving systems and delivering outstanding operational performance. About the Role Reporting directly to the Directors, you will be responsible for the overall operational performance of our four Northland yards. You will provide leadership to our Yard Supervisors and work closely with our administration, logistics and health and safety Manager to ensure every site operates safely, efficiently and profitably. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires regular travel between our sites. Key Responsibilities Lead the day-to-day operations across all Marsden Metals Group yards. Drive productivity, operational efficiency and continuous improvement. Oversee equipment utilisation, maintenance planning and operational resources. Monitor budgets, labour costs and operational performance. Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and business performance. Foster a positive culture based on teamwork, accountability and respect. About You You are an experienced operational leader with a strong track record of managing multiple sites and leading teams to success. You are confident in making decisions, solving problems and motivating others while maintaining high standards. You will ideally have: A minimum of five years' experience in a senior operations management role. Experience managing multiple operational sites. Outstanding leadership and people management skills. Strong commercial and financial understanding. Excellent planning, organisational and communication skills. Experience in scrap metal waste recycling, heavy industry, manufacturing, logistics or a similar operational environment. A current Full New Zealand Driver Licence. Why Join Marsden Metals Group?
